Rev. James Hughes, student minister at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church, is a native of Dublin. He attended First Baptist Church in Dublin, with his parents during his childhood and teen years. He graduated from West Laurens High and Brewton-Parker College with a BA in Wellness and Fitness. James answered the calling into the ministry and submitted himself to the call of youth ministry in 1994. His mission statement and passion is to help the youth of Laurens County grow in their faith and know his personal saver, Jesus Christ. He is married to the former Alexis Nobles of Lyons, Georgia and they are the blessed parents of Caidin and Makayla. When he has extra time, fishing, and working on his family farm are his interest.
